Chính phủ Úc thông báo tăng thời gian làm thêm cho Du học sinh từ 40h lên 48h mỗi 2 tuần, áp dụng từ 1/7/2023.

Những thay đổi lớn của Bộ di trú Úc về Visa du học, tạm trú sau tốt nghiệp và định cư cho thời gian tới.
1. Student visa 500 – Áp dụng “Genuine Student Test” mới cho student visa để đảm bảo tính chân thực của hồ sơ. – Yêu cầu tiếng Anh cho visa 500 sẽ tăng lên IELTS 6.0 từ mức 5.5 đối với du học nghề, IELTS 6.5 từ mức 6.0 đối với du học bậc cao học.
– Ưu tiên xét hồ sơ Student visa dựa trên “Risk level” của trường: ưu tiên trường level 1, 2 trường level 3 thời gian xét dài và yêu cầu nhiều hơn.
– Xét kỹ hơn với các hồ sơ nộp thêm Student visa thứ hai trong trường hợp muốn chuyển ngành, đổi trường, gia hạn không hợp lý.
– Hạn chế đăng ký tiếp student visa sau khi hết thời hạn visa 485.
2. Visa tạm trú sau tốt nghiệp 485 – Yêu cầu tiếng Anh cho visa 485 sẽ tăng lên IELTS 6.5 từ mức 6.0 hiện tại.
– Điều chỉnh thời hạn visa 485. Cụ thể, bỏ chính sách gia hạn và cộng thêm 2 năm sau tháng 7/2024. Giảm thời hạn tạm trú cho visa 485 tối đa còn 36 tháng.
3. Chính sách nhập cư cho chuyên gia – Giới thiệu pathway “Specialist Skills” cho các ứng viên có thu nhập ít nhất $135,000 trong bất kỳ ngành nào, trừ trade workers, machinery operator, labourers.
Áp dụng sau tháng 7/ 2024.
Từ 1/7/2023, thời hạn visa 485 dòng Post-study work stream (Làm việc sau tốt nghiệp) sẽ được điều chỉnh tăng như sau:
Tăng thời gian hiệu lực của Visa 485.
Từ ngày 1/7/2023, Chính phủ Úc sẽ ra quyết định tăng thời gian ở lại sau khi tốt nghiệp dành cho sinh viên quốc tế theo học 3264 khóa học nằm trong danh sách. Nếu học sinh tham gia một trong những khóa học sẽ đủ điều kiện ở lại làm việc tại Úc theo thời gian như sau:
Tăng thời gian làm việc cho du học sinh.
Ngoài ra, du học sinh có thể đi làm thêm lên đến 48 giờ/2 tuần thay vì trước đây chỉ được làm việc 40 giờ/2 tuần. Chính sách này được chính phủ Úc công bố nhằm đáp ứng tình trạng thiếu hụt lao động tại Úc sau đại dịch.
– 482 Visa (Temporary Skill Shortage) is a temporary resident visa for skilled workers working in Australia for 2-4 years. Skilled workers need to be sponsored and work at a business that is eligible and licensed by the Australian Department of Immigration. Up to now, Australian 482 visa has 3 types:
+ 482 short-term: 2 years.
+ 482 medium-long term: 4 years.
+ 482 labor agreements: 4 years.
– Our current program focuses on 2 types: Short-term and medium-long term in European Cooking Industry, Automotive Industry and Construction Industry.

– Able to temporarily reside and work in Australia for 2 years (with short-term visa) and 4 years (for medium-long-term visa), then transfer visa.
– During the duration of the visa, applicants are free to travel between within and outside Australia for travel.
– Applicants are entitled to sponsor their spouse and children for a lower fee. The accompanying spouse is allowed to work 40 hours / week.
– Be able to work for sponsoring business in Australia with an average salary of AUD 70,000/year (equivalent to more than VND 1.2 billion/year).
– Accumulated income of 2.1 – 4.2 billion after 2 years – 4 years of working under 482 visa.
– Eligible to switch to subclass 186 (permanent resident) after 2-4 years of working in Australia
A/ Main applicant:
– 22 – 38 years old.
– Graduated from high school or higher.
– Have a degree related to the profession if any.
– Pass Australian skills assessment.
B/ English proficiency:
– Short-term: 2 years: IELTS 5.0 (4.5 in each component) / PTE 36 (30 in each component)
– Medium & long-term – 4 years:
+ IELTS 5.0 (5.0 in each component) / PTE 36 (36 in each component)
+ The certificate is valid for at least 1 year.
+ Travel companions do not need to meet the English language requirements.
C/ Working experience:
– At least 1.5 years of full-time experience working in the cooking industry (calculated in the last 2 years)
– Have an employment contract, confirmation of experience and payroll.
D/Average salary:
– The average salary of occupations sponsored under the Australian 482 visa is quite high, ranging from AUD 60,000/year to AUD 70,000/year.
E/Health:
– Applicants must have good health, no infectious diseases such as: Hepatitis A, B, C, HIV, syphilis, tuberculosis, no disability, not prohibited from leaving and entering.
F/ Working locations: Sydney, Melbounre, Brisbane, Adelaide, Perth.
